How to see the Instagram photos you liked and download them with your iPad or Android

Instagram is one of the most popular social networks of our time, but unlike Facebook or Twitter, it has some unique features that not everyone is fully aware of. Today we'll show you how to recover photos you've liked from the Android or iPad app.

Most Instagram users are absolutely enamored with this social network for a number of fairly obvious reasons. It's incredibly easy to open, scroll down, and find photos from friends or on topics that interest us. Visually, it's powerful; the filters compensate for our lack of photographic skill; and the clean, text-free interface makes it easy to simply consume content.

It is proven that it is one of the services where smartphone and tablet users spend the most time , but its simplicity also means that slightly more complex issues remain hidden.

How to find the photos we once liked

In recent months, Instagram (owned by Facebook) has added the ability to bookmark photos for easy access. In fact, it also allows users to create albums with their photos. Furthermore, recovering likes is perfectly possible, but it's a somewhat hidden feature.

All you have to do is launch the app and go to your profile (bottom menu, last icon on the right). If you have an Android tablet, look for the three-dot column on the right, above the images. If you're using an iPad , you'll find the options wheel/gear icon instead . Scroll down to "Account," and there you'll find " Posts You've Liked ." You can scroll down as far as you want and revisit the images you previously liked.

Downloading Instagram images is easy ... with Telegram

Another task that the Instagram app doesn't natively allow is downloading photos to a tablet or smartphone's memory. Some users simply take a screenshot and then crop it, which is also perfectly acceptable. However, a less cumbersome way, especially if you're a Telegram user , is to use your own profile to send yourself content.

Personally, I've found this option very useful since the messaging platform introduced it. Simply go to the photo and tap the three-dot column or the gear icon, select "Copy URL ," open the Telegram app, paste the URL into your chat with yourself (you'll find yourself in your contacts), and send it. You can leave the image there and keep it on the servers, where it's safe, or tap on it and select "Add to Camera Roll" or "Download." This way, it's saved to your tablet's memory , and you'll have access to it even without an internet connection.
