Toshiba could soon release the first two tablets with Tegra 4

Toshiba AT10-A

Two Toshiba tablet models they have appeared carrying chips Nvidia Tegra 4 in the database of the WiFi Association and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). If launched soon on the market, they would be the first devices to use the famous SoC that, after its presentation, has gone into a phase of certain anonymity, without generating news. The codename of the devices is AT10-A and AT15-A REGZA. The latter is believed to be exclusively destined for the Asian market.

The interesting thing is that benchmark tests of both models have also been found in that database and the results are brutal. At AnTuTu test have obtained 28.058 points which is the highest score that a tablet or smartphone has obtained. This test also determined that they used the operating system Android 4.2.1 Jellybean, almost the most advanced version of Google software. It is estimated that they would have 10.1 inch screen.

Since it was unveiled at CES in Las Vegas, the race for this component has been a bit odd and bumpy. It showed brutal graphic potential, especially for videogames in combination with the Project Shield console. Before long, his rival Qualcomm criticized hard the new chip, which had coincided with the presentation of its Snapdragon 800, 600 and 400 chips. However, in the tests that had been carried out passed over of the two most powerful of the company.

Despite calming the controversy, another factor has played against him and it is none other than time. While its rival already has devices for sale with its new SoCs, Nvidia's had production problems and delayed its possible incorporation into models until August.

This news could mean a cut in terms that would be really positive. However, these two models are not the first tablets that we know will carry Tegra 4. At CES Vizio presented two tablets, one of 10 inches and another 7 inches, that it was said would carry the chip. We have not heard from them again.
