Earlier this month we saw how Dark, a game created by MTV Networks, went down at half its price and this gave him a strong boost to his sales. We are talking about Dark, a game that reminds us a lot of Limbo, that wonderful Indie game for PC that won so many awards and that had a previously uncommon aspect in video games. We are talking about a backlit style in which blacks prevail and we can only distinguish the figures by their silhouettes, but this time taken to mobile phones and tablets.

The story has a bit of a magic or fairy tale, but don't let that cheesy cut put you off because it's quite sinister and a bit scary at times. The protagonist is the guardian of a lighthouse that makes dark creatures stay away. One day the lighthouse explodes and its pieces of light are scattered over a dark and gloomy land. Our rare hero, who seems between a mouse and a bat, will have to recover the pieces of light to return protection to his lands. Of course, once the lighthouse does not shine, it leaves the way for the red-eyed monsters that will try to kill you. Our protagonist carries a flame in his hand that lights his way in such a dangerous place.
Game mode
It is a platform game but with a special presentation. In addition to jumping obstacles and avoiding enemies, you must collect stars that in a certain amount provide you with a slow motion mode that allows you to overcome tests that would be impossible otherwise. There are also elements to find on the stage that trigger mechanisms and make it possible for you to continue advancing. Your score 12 screens It is reflected in the number of stars you get, with 4 stars being the maximum. Your score is determined depending on how fast you clear the screen, the number of kills it takes you, and how many stars and items you find. Getting 4 stars is really difficult.
There are no payment methods, something very respectful, although the 12 screens are short. Although it seems that there will be updates that will bring more.
controls
The controls are quite intuitive although they can be a bit confusing at times. There are two ways to control it. If you choose the touch mode, it will take longer to get used to it. In this mode: the direction of the character is marked by holding the finger at one end of the screen and jumps are made with light taps. The downside is that if you press on the opposite side, it will jump in that direction. You can also choose to have buttons appear on the screen, something much simpler.
Graphics and Audio
The visual approach with the 2D graphics is impeccable, and sometimes gives a feeling of 3d. However, the reference of Limbo is omnipresent. It is honestly a total copy, although there are elements in the story and in the different game mode. The animations are very well done and give the characters a very organic movement.
The audio, both in its soundtrack and in its effects, is very successful. It gets you into that spooky atmosphere with ease and is well suited to the pace of the game.
If you know Limbo you will like it, although you may feel a certain sense of plagiarism. If this is not the case, it is a very different game than usual, with special and well-made graphics. Maybe it's a bit short, but for 0,79 euros it seems reasonable.
Buy it for 0,79 euros on Google Play.
