Acer launches a model of the Iconia B1 with 16 GB for 139 euros

Acer Iconia B1

Past CES of the Vegas, Acer finally presented his tablet low-cost, the high-performance Iconia B1, and now in the MWC de Barcelona, has announced a new version of it. There will be no great news, however: the new model only differs by offering a increased storage capacity, going from 8 GB from hard drive to 16 GB. The distance between the price of both models is, in any case, quite reasonable: if the 8 GB is sold for 119 Euros, the 16 GB will do it for 139 Euros.

We already told you that Acer are more than satisfied with the first sales data of the Iconia B1 and with the estimates for the coming months, so much so that they had already decided to continue expanding their offer of tablets low-cost. However, for these new tablets to arrive we will still have to wait quite a few months. Expanding the model range of your Iconia B1However, it is already underway.

If the official presentation of the Iconia B1 took place in the event of Las Vegas, has been in the MWC of Barcelona where we have been able to know its new version that differs only in that it will offer a increased storage capacity, with 16 GB hard disk. The decision to launch a larger memory model is actually not very surprising since, for many users, the 8 GB they may be too short, and in fact most companies offer their compact tablets in two versions with different capacities.

An important point in favor of Acer, in any case, is the price given to the version of 16 GB that, as reported in Engadget, it will be of 139 Euros. This makes a difference of only 20 Euros regarding the tablet 8 GB, which is a leap between one model and another much lower than what we are used to: in the case of the Nexus 7, the difference between the 16 GB and the 32 (and previously between the 8 GB and 16 GB) is 50 Euros, for instance; in the case of iPad mini, comes to 100 Euros.
