If they ask us what we think it is the most popular Android tablet we could possibly say that the Nexus 7. This answer is based on the fame of this tablet and the recognition that the specialized press has dedicated to it. However, this does not mean that it is the tablet with an Android operating system that is in most homes. A recent study reveals that on this platform the most popular is the 2-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.
A developer who has a few games on Google Play has done a study based on the data they were able to obtain by tracking those users who entered the Google Play application and those who played any of their games. In total, the study analyzes the data of 978.000 people, a fairly representative tasting considering that there are currently about 75 million Android tablets in use in the world. The data was collected between February and March 2013.
The ranking obtained with this test says that the first tablet would be the Galaxy Tab 2 with 11,8% share. Behind would be another from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with 8,3%. Then the Kindle Fire would come with 7,5%. After its HD version with 4,9% and Nexus 7 we would not find it until the sixth position with a 3,8% user share.

The data leaves us speechless and we could doubt them since perhaps the population segment that the company has used is not representative. But if we go back to a similar study of Localytics a little earlier, we would see that they are right. That study focused on the United States especially, where Amazon tablets reign with a 33% share, but which expanded worldwide gave very similar data, but with a more optimistic view of Google's 7-inch tablet , but with the Koreans in the lead.
