Android 4.2 appears in the GLBenchmark of Nexus 4

Android 4.2

The smartphone that LG has prepared for Google, the Nexus 4, and that will surely be presented at the event next Monday, October 29, has come to light in a Benchmark yesterday. The interesting thing about the case beyond the almost unnecessary confirmation of the model is that it confirms that the new operating system of Mountain View is at least in the testing phase. Android 4.2 is a reality.

The device has appeared specifically in the GLBenchmark with the codename of Mako, by which we had known him until now. The speed shown by the smartphone, which due to its 4,7 inches could well be considered phablet, places it fourth in the ranking of mobile phones behind Pantech Vega IM-A850, Asus PadFone 2 and Xiaomi MI-2. All four models carry the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 with a 1,5 GHz quad-core CPU and an Adreno 320 GPU.

Beyond its results in the GLBenchmark, the remarkable thing is that its Qualcomm chip ran an Android 4.2 operating system. We already told you that the most safe Nexus 10 has also passed through GLBenchmark sporting this software although without such brilliant results.

As it is a rise of one decimal place, that is, from 4.1 to 4.2, many analysts bet that the name of Jelly Bean will remain, it will not be until it involves a total evolution when Google uses another name for its operating system, which with a high probability will be Android Key Lime Pie 5. Now we can only wait for the event on October 29 and see how they present it. In that same event it is expected to also see a new version of 32 GB de Nexus 7 and some even bet that we will see a version that will give connection by mobile networks 3G or 4G LTE.
