Angry Birds Evolution is here to compete with Pokémon this summer

As you know, lately Rovio has been focusing more on conquering new territories for its angry birds than on continuing to search for new formulas for its physics puzzles, and with its latest installment, Angry Birds Evolution , it has decided to delve directly into the territory of Pokémon , although, of course, demanding much less physical exertion from us.

Angry Birds Evolution vs Pokemon

As we mentioned before, a new Pokémon game, Magikarp, was added a few weeks ago to the already extensive list of Pokémon games available to us, helping us pass the time until Pokémon GO takes center stage again, which, of course, is summer. In fact, Nianti has already announced that it has several new features in store for this purpose.

This year, however, it's going to be a bit more complicated, and not only because it has lost some of the charm of novelty, but because its success has meant that it has more and more competitors, as always happens, and some of them are real heavyweights, as is the case with this Angry Birds Evolution.

Collecting battle birds, but not getting too tired

Indeed, Rovio has decided it's time to conquer new genres with its angry birds, and this time it's the turn of Pokémon -style fighting games . However, there are no augmented reality elements here, so playing while traveling or taking a walk is entirely optional. In fact, there's even an auto-play button to use if laziness gets the better of you.

There's nothing particularly out of the ordinary for a game of this type, and the main draws are the sheer number of birds to collect and the charm that Rovio has proven capable of infusing into the characters they create for their games. Fans of the series will undoubtedly want to check it out, if only to meet the main characters (and as we've already mentioned, there's an auto-play button if puzzles are more your style than combat).

We can now download Angry Birds Evolution from the App Store and Google Play

If the game's name sounds familiar, it's because it was announced back in May, but its release wasn't scheduled until June, and it finally happened this week. And needless to say, it 's free to download for both iOS and Android , always a plus when you're thinking about trying a new game.
