Maybe the App Store Apple is causing problems for some users of its applications. Marco Arment, the creator of Instapaper, reported yesterday that it has been "flooded" throughout the week with complaints from users who had downloaded Instaper 4.2.3 and that, when opened, the application crashed immediately. The problem persisted even when users deleted Instapaper from their devices and reinstalled a new version.
After reviewing the problem, Arment realized that the problem was coming from what he has called a corrupted update that Apple distributed through its App Store. According to Arment, the update he sent was working perfectly, so he complained to Apple instantly. A few hours later an already secure and working version began to be distributed in the App Store.
Armet received no response from App review and he thinks that the solution came because he started to give a lot of hype that the problem did not come from him, or simply because perhaps the cache with the corrupted file expired after a few hours.
Whoever downloaded a faulty Instapaper application will now only have to delete the one they had and reinstall a new one.
What is Instapaper?
Instapaper is an application for PC, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets and e-Books that allows you to store it when you see a piece of news that interests you to read later. This reading can be done on the original page or viewing only the text in xml format, that is, only textual and you can even download it in a readable format for your e-book.
How did this conflict end?
Arment decided to continue investigating the matter and reported that he had heard similar cases from other recently updated applications such as Angry Bird Space HD Free, Pinball Maniacs and GoodReader.
In fact, the folks at GoodReader also complained about something similar in your web The GoodReader team discovered after an investigation that Apple had recently changed something in its application delivery engine and problems had arisen since then. In most cases, the consequences were customers receiving applications in poor condition or updates to them.
These may be isolated cases, which if spread and repeated, could bring a barrage of news.
