From what we have seen so far, it appears that the New Generation by Galaxy Tab It is not intended to compete with the higher-end tablets but they could become quite difficult rivals for the low-cost compact tablets. We show you a comparative de Technical specifications between the model 7 inches and the newly presented Asus MemoPad HD 7 to help you assess which would be a better option when acquiring a tablet without making a too large outlay.

Designer
The design of these two tablets is quite different, and in both cases they are very characteristic of their manufacturers: in the Memo Pad HD we find forms similar to those of the Nexus 7While Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has the particular family resemblance of smartphones from Samsung. Regarding the colors in which they will be available, at the moment it seems that the South Korean tablet will only come out in white at first, while that of Asus can be achieved in white, gray, green and pink.
Dimensions
Regarding the dimensions, the Galaxy Tab 3 has, altogether, a smaller size: is shorter (18,8 cm against 19,68 cm), narrower (11,1 cm front 12 cm) and finer (9,9 mm against 10,8 mm). There are no notable differences in terms of weight, instead, which is quite similar in both devices: 306 grams la Samsung against 302 grams la Asus.
Screen
The two tablets have the same screen size, 7 inches, but now that the Memo Pad 7 has improved its resolution, has surpassed at this point the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0: the first has a resolution of 1280 x 800, while that of the second is 1024 x 600. Of course, there are other important aspects to assess, such as brightness or viewing angles, but to be able to judge them we will have to wait for specific tests of use, when the two tablets arrive in stores.

Also in the processor and RAM section, the Asus it comes out a much better stop with this new model than it would with the previous one, managing to equal or even surpass the tablet of Samsung. The Memo Pad HD 7 will mount a processor quad core a 1,2 GHzWhile Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will have one of two cores also at 1,2 GHz. In terms of RAM, the two tablets tie, with 1GB each.
Storage capacity
In the storage capacity section, the balance is tilted to the side of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, although the difference is quite small: both the tablet of Asus like Samsung will go on sale in two versions, with 8 or 16 GB hard disk, and both will have the possibility of expanding the memory via micro-SD, the only difference being that in the first one it can only be extended up to 32 GB while in the second it will be possible to increase up to 64 GB.
Cameras
With regard to cameras, the advantage is once again for the Memo Pad HD 7, thanks to its rear camera 5 SM (the rear camera of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will be 3 SM), while in relation to the front camera the tie is absolute, with a lens of 1,3 SM.
Connectivity
Again the tablet Samsung takes the lead in the connectivity section, since, at least for now, Asus has not announced that there will be a version 3G of the Memo Pad HD 7, while he does hope that there will be for the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0.
Battery
Although this is another point in which we will have to wait for specific use tests to be able to really assess which of the two offers better autonomy, for the moment the data favors the Memo Pad HD 7, which, since no modifications have been announced with respect to the previous model, it is to be expected that it will have a battery of 4270 mAh, while that of the Galaxy Tab will be 4000 mAh.
Price
Normally the price of tablets Samsung it is usually relatively high but, the first information that have come to us for this model suggest that it could be below 200 euros. It must be borne in mind, in any case, that it is not an official price and that we will still have to wait to know this. Tablet Asus, on the contrary, it was announced in his presentation this Monday what would it cost $150 the 16GB model, although we shouldn't expect it to translate into less than 150 Euros when it starts to be sold in Europe.
