It seems that the path of some Asus tablets to the latest version of Google's operating system is paving. Today Transfomer Pad TF300 and T700, aka Infinity, have received a small update that adds almost no changes to their 4.1 operant but that puts the willows so that 4.2 Android Jelly Bean may arrive shortly.

So affirms it Android Community, which warned us today that Android 4.1 of both devices had had a very slight update that is almost priceless from an external view for those who already had this operating system running on their tablets. This update has arrived just a few days after the PadFone 2, which we already talked about in this article. Throughout the weekend the two tablets and the phablet have been receiving new software over the air throughout the entire planet and this was confirmed by publications and websites around the globe.
For the phablet the change was really big since it went from 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. And although it kept the old look, the weight of the new software was considerable. On the contrary, with the two Transformers the package weight has been minimal. Functionally, it really only affects the kernel and the WiFi configuration, but it is invaluable at the user level. However, some experts point out that this change in the kernel, which does not improve energy autonomy, performance, could prepare devices to receive Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in the near future, even before the end of the month.
That Asus were the first devices not signed by Google that will carry the operating system 4.2.1 It would not be surprising, given the speed that Taiwanese have always had for this and as payment for the services previously provided to the search giant with Nexus 7.
