Asus won't compensate those who bought Nexus 7 on Google Play

A couple of days ago Asus and Google released programs to compensate those consumers who had bought a Nexus 7 before the arrival of the 32GB model which saw an escalating price reduction of the 16GB model and the withdrawal of the 8GB model. Google's plan is clear and it works. However, there has been some confusion with Asus' plan and the South Korean company has had to step out to clarify that they will not compensate those who bought the tablet on Google Play.

First it was the manufacturer of the 7-inch tablet who announced that all their customers in Europe who had purchased and registered the device would receive a discount voucher of 30 euros for your online store. Many people who had bought from the Google online store did so and received nothing in return. For this reason they began to complain and the company has had to inform to clarify that it will only deliver the coupon to those who made the purchase in their physical distribution channels and in some official online stores, among which is not Google Play. Just hours after that initiative from the manufacturer came out, it was the Mountain View company that said that those who bought the tablet through your online store would receive the 16GB tablet price difference as part of a device price adjustment program whose purpose is protect the prices of your products and surely generate a compensatory mechanism when these readjustments occur. Price changes could be common in a fiercely competitive market that forces companies to rectify their initial bets so as not to lose market share.
