Users of the official Borderlands 2 forum have discovered an advertisement for Borderlands Legends in the game's online guide . This title appears to be the mobile version of the franchise, specifically for iPad and iPhone . More and more developers are choosing to release editions of their major works designed specifically for tablets and phones, and that's always welcome news.
An advertisement for Borderlands Legends recently appeared on the game's official forum, even before its developers ( Gearbox Software ) or publisher ( 2K Games ) officially announced it. It's an iPhone and iPad version of the popular franchise, which launched Borderlands 2 on PS3 and Xbox just over a month ago. This isn't the company's first title to be released on iOS; their basketball and hockey simulators, as well as Duke Nukem, have also been available there previously.
The announcement details some elements of this shooter with RPG elements set in a post-apocalyptic world. Among them is the ability to play as classic characters from the first Borderlands: the soldier Roland , the "siren" Lilith , the hunter Mordecai , and the berserker Brick . Missions will be randomly generated, the game will be based on survival mode, and it will implement a new strategic cover system. In addition, there will be thousands of different weapons and 36 original powers and abilities.
