Privacy not only when using social networks, but also in the conversations that we have with all our contacts, are some of the requirements most demanded by millions of users when using all the tools available at our fingertips in these fields. The developers take note and we can see an example in functions such as the encryption of the messages or the elimination of them.
At the same time, we find dozens of apps promising to become alternatives to established favorites like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Line. One such app is Chomp SMS , which we'll tell you more about below. It has already released more than seven versions and is used by nearly 50 million people worldwide. Could this be the app that will manage to steal market share from the most popular apps in its category?
Operation
In general terms, Chomp SMS shares elements with other similar apps by allowing you to send messages to all your contacts. Like the most popular ones, it has features such as encryption and, more importantly, the ability to delete messages before they reach their recipients. It also includes a reminder system that sends notifications for important dates in your calendar and offers quick replies.
Personalization.
Through a catalog of wallpapers, the developers of Chomp SMS aim to win over users who not only enjoy sending messages but also customizing their desktops to their liking. It features LED notifications available in various colors, each of which can be configured to alert users to a different event. Finally, it includes a catalog of over 1600 icons compatible with the most popular operating systems.
Free?
Chomp SMS is free for Android, which has helped it gain several million users since its release in app stores. However, unlike other apps such as WhatsApp, it requires in-app purchases that can cost up to €2,55 per item. While it has received positive reviews for features like its wide variety of emojis, it has also been criticized for bugs such as unexpected crashes when trying to send messages to multiple recipients simultaneously.
Do you think Chomp SMS is already at the top and will have a hard time gaining more traction among other apps in its field? More information about other messaging apps like Confide is available so you can form your own opinion.
