The application of Chrome for Android has been updated and solves some of the problems that users detected especially in security matters. Interestingly, Google had taken more care of its browser application on iOS than on its own platform with periodic updates, compared to three months of abandonment in Android after the application was released in beta.

The update is available for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The main improvement is its Sandbox, that quarantine space to which the browser takes all newly created or suspicious websites. Now it better blocks all the malicious code that could corrupt your device, that is, it stays in the Sandbox and thus does not pass to the entire browser. This is possible thanks to the architecture of Chrome added to user ID isolation technology (UID) of Android.

But not only have they improved the security of Chrome but they have added a few new functions that are quite appreciable.

Now you can include your location or some preferred location at the time of configure the system and so that it transcends all Google applications.

Youtube it also improves. Now the controls work when we put the video in full screen and, additionally, the playback does not stop when we unlock the screen and they continue exactly where we left them.

Finally, they have improved the operation of third-party IMES in the browser. This means that they have improved coordination of third party keyboards with Chrome. In this way, if we connect a keyboard via Bluetooth or USB, Chrome will better recognize the device and will more faithfully obey its commands.

We can also appreciate some change in appearance. They are mainly details in the navigation bar and in the shape and shadow of the tabs, but you will hardly notice it.
