The Cube KNote 8 comes with a better screen and more power

windows tablet

Only a few months ago we presented you the Cube KNote, the latest tablet from this popular Chinese low-cost manufacturer and now we have a remake to best technical specifications that may be more interesting for those who are looking for a Windows tablet of a higher level, but still more affordable than those that we can buy directly here.

Cube Knote 8: major improvements over the first model

There are a few things that have changed compared to the first KNote 8, starting with the screen, the one that we are going to notice first, which is now larger (it has gone from 11.6 inches to reaching the 13.3 inches) and has a much higher resolution, reaching the X. This is a first point in which it has risen to the top of the range.

The improvements continue in the performance section, in any case, replacing the Apollo Lake N3450 with a Intel Core M3-7Y30, which is what we normally find in the most affordable models of the best Windows tablets, and with a not so necessary but still welcome push in the RAM, which is now of 8 GB. We will also have more storage capacity, with nothing less than 256 GB.

As you can see, in general terms, we are facing a very different tablet that could well have come with a completely different name. It is true, however, that in design they are still very similar, including the less positive data of the first model, such as the one that only offers us one port USB Type C. And, as you can imagine, although the name may invite you to think otherwise, it still does not have stylus support.

How much will the price go up?

Although all the improvements that it brings us are undoubtedly attractive, it is to be expected that they will also be noticed in the price, that the normal thing would be for it to rise significantly, although we cannot say anything with certainty about it because at the moment the information on its launch is quite scarce (it already appears in some importers but it does not seem to be for sale yet in any of them) .

It must be borne in mind, in any case, that the first model was put on sale so the change was slightly less than 350 euros and, even now, months after its launch, it is still not easy (if not impossible. ) find it for less than 300 euros. If we think about how much the technical specifications of this have improved knot 8It does not seem reasonable to expect it to cost less than 400 euros and is probably more around 500 euros.

Still, it may be worth considering because it is still a much lower price than they have. the best high-end Windows tablets in its most basic models, and although this knot 8 it falls behind those in some sections, also in some points its characteristics will be superior to those of those, as is the case of RAM or storage capacity.
