At Computex 2013 we saw two very interesting models of 10-inch Android tablets that bring the focus back to that size after in the last year we have been very aware of the 7-inch tablets with the exception of Xperia Tablet Z. Samsung and Asus , two Google collaborators, have moved in a similar direction betting on the same Intel chip as the engine of their devices. The proposals are somewhat different, so it is worth comparing them. Here goes one comparison between Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and MeMO Pad FHD 10.
Design, size and weight
The two manufacturers have opted for a classic approach to tablets and for the design idea linked to the brand to be maintained. The Korean is very similar to the two previous generations, while the Taiwanese is very similar to the previous MeMO and the Transformer. The differential point in the Samsung is the thickness, only 8 mm, and in the Asus the variety of colors on its back, also opting for a very striking pink in addition to the traditional black and white. The first is a bit lighter.

Screen
We do not understand very well what Samsung is playing with the third Galaxy Tab in this section. Without a doubt, the best stop is the 8-inch one. With its 1280 x 800 pixels, the MeMO Pad FHD 10 surpasses it with its 1920 x 1200. The IPS panel of the second will also make a difference.
Unlimited
Everyone has been surprised that two major brands such as Asus and Samsung decided on Intel in their devices. We have seen the performance of the Atom Z2560 in the Korean in the AnTuTu benchmark test that was leaked a week before its presentation. There it obtained 24.616 points, above the 20.500 obtained by the Xperia Tablet Z. This it did with 1 GB of RAM. What happens is that the Taiwanese has 2 GB of RAM, although it also has to move more screen definition. A priori and if the software layers on Android 4.2 do not prevent it, the MeMO Pad would have a more competent performance, especially in multitasking.
Storage
An identical bet. The same options for internal storage and the same expandability. In both cases enough.
Connectivity
In this section, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 shows its chest by having access to mobile networks, WiFi Direct and WiFi Hotspot. The HDMI slot of the MeMO Pad is a safeguard and a point to consider if we want to use it as a Media Center. In the case of its rival, the integration with televisions of the same brand is very convenient.
Cameras and sound
In the cameras Asus has wanted to make a humble but interesting offer, while the Koreans have thrown a little low in the resolution of the rear camera. The sound of both will be exceptional because of the technologies that support your stereo speakers. On the one hand, SonicMaster that has already shown its benefits and, on the other, Dolby Surround.
Autonomy
The Taiwanese dared to give a figure of time of use that amounts to 10 hours. The 6.800 mAh of the other contender seem to indicate something similar, and more considering that they coincide in a chip with great energy efficiency.
Prices and conclusions
Both have a very similar price. The two companies have been very aggressive in their commercial policy and have provided a very attractive offer for consumers. The good prices could also be based on the still Initial moment of Intel's Clover Trail + architecture as it relates to Android, having to make a place in the trust of consumers.
The main difference is in the quality of the screen. ASUS has a better resolution and also has IPS technology. In addition, the HDMI slot will give more freedom and universality to the connection with other devices.
In short, having a similar but slightly lower price, the MeMO Pad FHD 10 a more complete tablet.
