Google Wallet hits the mobile web and brings a credit card

Google Wallet

Google Wallet It is a Google service that in Spain at the moment has little representation and, therefore, real repercussion. However, the search engine company is making a lot of progress in this new service that in a short period of time can change the way we use our mobile devices. We tell you two significant progress that have occurred these days.

In the first place, those of Mountain View have announced that they have introduced the possibility of paying online through Google Wallet on the mobile web of some stores important in the American market such as Five Guys, Rockport, 1-800-Flowers.com. It works the same way as when we make a purchase on a desktop computer and pay with this service. That is, having previously linked a credit card to your account, you do the secure payment and you don't have to go around putting the numbers in again. In Spain this is hardly implemented and you can only make use of it in the application and content store of the American company. In this article we explained how it works and we offered you a video about it.

Obviously, it makes much more sense that this service is on the mobile web, and therefore, on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets, than on a desktop computer. And it is much more uncomfortable to have to enter your credit card information on your mobile than at home. As we already indicated there is a safety pin so that in the robbery case cannot pay with your mobile. Even you can deactivate the app from any computer with internet access.

The second advance has to do with the claim of universality of this service. This project has been leaked when Android Police has taken over the new version of the Google Wallet application.

Google Wallet credit card

The idea is throw a credit card that we use when the establishment we go to does not have an NFC reader for this service. The good thing is that you can link it to more than one credit or debit card, so all your cards will be unified. In your account then you predetermine which one you want to use to pay, but you can change it, of course. In fact, it seems that they will release a version of the application that does not require NFC so that you can change cards from your phone. A) Yes you will only take a credit card to the street. And if you lose your wallet, you only cancel the Wallet and not all the others.

But not only is this, you can also have a wallet card where to transfer money for expenses from your accounts.

As we can see, the options are brutal and if implemented it will be a universal system that would change many things. It is so universal what can be used in devices of other operating systems.

As we already said you can open your Google Wallet account and configure it and request an invitation to your not so secret update to be one of the first to try it.
