The familiar "click" when unlocking iOS has remained unchanged, like so many other Apple features, since its debut in 2007 with the iPhone. Many of you may not have noticed it, but some users prefer to customize this element as well. We'll provide two options for doing so: one easy but paid, and another more complex but completely free.
Let's start with the simplest option, although it does come at a small cost. We're talking about the iUnlock tweak . This software is available on Cydia, so it obviously requires a jailbroken device and iOS 5. It's available in the BigBoss repository for €1,99 and offers a 3-day free trial. With iUnlock, you can customize the screen animation with different styles (Fade, Suck, Ripple, Curl, Cube, Push, Move, Reveal, Flip, etc.) as well as change the default unlock sound to any system sound.
If we want to add a new one, we need to access the iPad, either with iFile or via SSH as explained in another tutorial, and place the audio file, in .CAF format, in the path /System/Library/Audio/UISounds. Then we just need to return to iUnlock and select the file we added.
If the iUnlock proposal does not convince you, there is a more homemade and free option. Simply by accessing the previous directory, you have to look for two files "LOCK.CAF" AND "UNLOCK.CAF".

Substituting either of the two for the one you want to use, yes, scrupulously respecting the name of the file, you will change this, or any other sound on the system. This is its main problem, that you have to change all the files one by one and you cannot try different ones as in iUnlock. In addition, we advise you to make a backup copy of the ones that come by default in case you finally want to return to the original sound.
