It is a real annoyance when browsing from the iPad on a website like Tablezona, and reading a news item in which they have posted a video that when clicking on it, the YouTube application jumps and closing the page in Safari.
For now, and until iOS 6 arrives, where the YouTube app that has been integrated into the system since the first iPhone will disappear, this is something that comes by default. But also, without the need to modify the iPad, the system itself offers us the possibility of solving it.

To do this we must access the Settings menu and from there go through the General menu to get to the "Restrictions" tab.

By clicking on them we will see all deactivated. When clicking on the upper button "Activate restrictions", it asks us for a 4-digit code to protect our changes of external hands.

We introduce the combination we want, and make it easy for us to remember, and we can now customize the "Restrictions" options. If we do not want anything to change in the system, only the issue of viewing YouTube videos, we must be careful to only disconnect the tab related to the app from the video service.

The rest of the options will allow us to decide what applications and what content can be used or function in a certain way within our Tablet.
Once we have only moved the YouTube switch, we can return to Safari and clicking on the video, although it will not open on the same page, it will simply take us to the mobile version of YouTube, but without leaving Safari. When we finish watching the clip, we will only have to click "Back" in the browser and we will return to the web we were visiting.
