HTC will launch a new tablet to the market what successor to the Flyer will try to compensate its results. The Taiwanese company has so far stood out for its smartphones, but when it comes to tablets, HTC has not played the fundamental role that other companies that usually work with Android yes they have had. This is the case of Motorola, Samsung or LG. The company had two good skids with the aforementioned 7-inch Flyer and 10-inch Jetstream. In no case were they a real competition for the iPad or other Android tablets.

But HTC is not going to throw in the towel, one of its spokesmen has spoken in exclusive with PC Advisor magazine and has informed them that they are working on a new tablet they want to be really special. They have not given too many details, mainly because the plan is still open. Although they warn that it will bring some feature not seen so far in the world of tablets.
This differentiating strategy was the one used when Flyer was launched in May last year. It featured a screen with a higher resolution than all its 7-inch battlefield competitors and included a digital pen for drawing on the screen. Its high starting price above 600 euros condemned it, now it can be obtained for around 300 euros.
In PC Advisor they bet that the new HTC tablet you will continue to use an Android operating system that by obligation will have to be at least 4.1 Android Jelly Bean or the last thing to come out by then if they want to be competitive.
HTC's position is not easy. The tablet market begins to be saturated on sale and the big companies are making bets with models with which they do not really make much profit, because they think more about the battle for the sale of content. This is the case with Google's Nexus 7 and, as rumored, the next Kindle Fire 2. The possible arrival of a still uncertain iPad mini would make this process more difficult. In the Android tablet environment we are seeing low cost tablets with very respectable technical specifications, especially those from Asian countries like India where prices are really low.
When choosing the range of tablets where to compete, HTC must have really thought about it, since success is sold at a high price in the current circumstances. If you choose a high profile, the new HTC tablet will do with the iPad, and if you choose a low profile with a whole army of new proposals.
