One of the big problems for Android as an ecosystem it is its enormous fragmentation, and that is that each manufacturer keeps the pace of updates in different ways. Product line Nexus comes to solve this scenario to a certain extent, they are always the first to port the latest versions of the operating system of Google, but still the variety of devices that use it make uniformity something simply unattainable. However, the latest version of Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean, little by little it makes its way, and already operates in the 2,7% of the devices.

Since the 21st of September we wrote this article on adopting iOS 6 and Jelly, the version Android 4.1 it has practically doubled its presence on tablets and phones, increasing the frequency from 1,5% to 2,7%. As reported by Android CentralFurthermore, the adoption rate of Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) also increases considerably, since from 20% of that time it has now gone to work on more than 25% of Android devices.
With iOS as a clearer alternative and Windows 8 arriving, Google's operating system shows spectacular growth in recent months. During the third quarter of 2012, a 75% of the smartphones sold were AndroidWhich is logical after all if we take into account the huge offer, from low-cost phones to the highest-end phones, where the manufacturer Samsung clearly stands out. iOS only has one representative, (firm, yes): the iPhone 5. While Windows Phone 8, for now has the clear support of three great partners: HTC, Nokia y Samsung, although it is not ruled out that Microsoft will also soon launch its own smartphone.
Regarding tablets the question is somewhat different. The latest data from a few weeks ago also showed a clear growth of Android, which is present in 41% of devices of this type, thanks mainly to the push of the latest seven-inch tablets such as Nexus 7 y kindlefire, and although the distances are shortened, Apple continues to dominate. However, it remains to be seen how the launch of iPad mini to this trend; something difficult to predict, especially when the competitors do not stand idly by: on the one hand, attacks Google with the exceptional Nexus 10 and, on the other, the entire legion of hybrids with Windows 8. The battle is very interesting.
