Amazon has once again put a device on the table that questions the relationship between quality and price in the supply of tablets in general and in Android more specifically. The key is that those in Seattle seek more profit from the sale of content than of devices and that is why their teams also use a closed OS and turned towards their content store based on Android. Among the rest of the manufacturers there are very popular high-end equipment that can attract the quality of the machine and for those, the Amazon tablets take great care of this aspect. Today we are going to offer you a comparison between Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and the new ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity.
Design, size and weight
The finish of the two teams is very different, as are their approaches. In the case of the Taiwanese we have a hybrid tablet, focused on productivity and with a high-end bill visible abroad. The American does not care so much about the exterior appearance although they have wanted to be daring with a retro design in cheaper materials.
The size is very different due to the difference in screen size. Amazon's is a lighter and smaller tablet, and also thinner.

Screen
The resolution of the two is identical, however, the smaller the size, the higher the definition. Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 reaches 339 ppi, being the Highest pixel density tablet on the market, for the 299 ppi of its rival, also one of the highest.
They both use IPS technology that gives them a good angle of side view.
Performance and software
The Snapdragon 800 is the ARM chip in fashion. All high-end Android devices are betting on it. However, ASUS has relied on NVIDIA and its Tegra 4 which is mainly intended for tablets and offers superior performance but worse energy efficiency.
La power of both teams is brutal and we can hardly complain about fluency and speed in both normal and complex tasks.
The operating system, however, can make a big difference. In the Transformer we have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, fully customizable, open and with a slight ASUS capability. In the Kindle Fire we have the Fire OS, also based on Android but completely closed. Its distinctive element is that it is completely focused on content, with several applications that give us information about them and allow us to make purchases in the store very easily.
Storage
As happens in the tablets of companies that also sell content, in Amazon we do not find expansion by micro SD, while in its opponent it is duplicated, on the keyboard and on the tablet.
The internal storage options are similar although in the American one we can also choose 16 GB. This option could fall short, but we must not forget that the contents will come directly by streaming from the Seattle servers and that we will hardly be able to bring them externally.
Connectivity
ASUS has not announced its intention to release an LTE version for its new Transformer, so it would lose in this section compared to its rival. In the rest of the fields they are very on par in tablet mode. If we connect the keyboard in Taiwanese, the options are multiplied in number, not in nature.
Cameras and sound
Regarding the cameras, the Kindle Hire HDX 8.9 has more sensitive sensors and also on the back we have LED Flash.
In sound, ASUS has one of the best on the tablet market. Your technology SonicMaster makes the difference. Amazon opts for sound Dolby Audio Plus, how good results it gave him in the second installment of his tablets.
Battery
Surprisingly, the team with Tegra 4 provides an hour more of autonomy than its rival. The Taiwanese have done a great job but the Americans are not short on their 12 hours. The keyboard of the first could add up to four more hours that would result in 17 total.
Accessories
It all falls on the side of the Transformer and we mean your keyboard which, as you may have seen during the rest of the article, not only adds a productivity bonus but also connectivity and battery life. The only negative part is the weight and thickness.
Price and conclusions
ASUS showed that its new tablet will be competitively priced and analysts are betting that it will not be above 500 euros with a keyboard. If so, it will be a high-end tablet with a great price. The endowment of the new Transformer Pad Infinity is spectacular and is an ideal team for the productivity and professionals.
El Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 price is groundbreaking and it provides us with a really powerful and gifted team but that gives us a very defined experience that we cannot easily modify. It is a product oriented to a content consumer and the family environment.
The experience of watching videos on either of these two screens is great, this being one of the sections where mobile devices are improving the most and where perhaps we have already hit the top. Not because more cannot be done, but because it is unnecessary.
