Designer
Regardless of the aesthetic preferences of each one, the truth is that the MediaPad M3 It is a difficult rival to beat from the design section, and not only because it comes with a metal casing (which is not only a matter of elegance, but also to dissipate heat better), but also because it also has Harman Kardon stereo speakers and fingerprint reader (on the home button on the front). The tablet of LG it has neat lines and a solid build, like its predecessors, but it can't compete on either of those issues.

Even despite this, in fact, it is somewhat more compact (21,62 x 12,7 cm against 21,55 x 12,45 cm).
Screen
As we just noted, the screen of the MediaPad M3 is a little bigger8 inches against 8.4 inches) and without the device itself being, which is a point in its favor. To that we must add that its resolution is higher, in addition (1920 x 1200 against 2560 x 1600). The only thing they would be evenly matched in is that they both use the 16:10 aspect ratio (optimized for video playback).

The scale is also clearly tilted to the side of the tablet from Huawei in the performance section, with a higher level processor (Snapdragon eight core to 1,3 GHz against Kirin 950 eight core to 2,3 GHz) and more RAM (2 GB against 4 GB). In comparison it is a fairly small advantage, but it is true that the tablet of LG has in its favor arriving with a more recent version of Android (nougat vs marshmallow).
Storage capacity
The tie is absolute, however, when we go to the performance section, since the tablet of LG stands out here compared to other mid-range, offering us figures more typical of the high-range: both arrive with 32 GB of internal memory and with the option of expanding them externally via card micro-SD.
Cameras
We find here two tablets that have followed the increasingly common strategy of mounting cameras of the same level on the front and on the back, something that in this type of device makes a lot of sense if we think about how we use them more. There is an important difference, however, and that is that the MediaPad M3 sound 8 SM, while those of the LG GPad IV sound 5 SM.
Autonomy
It is true that with a larger screen with more resolution and a much more powerful processor, it is expected that the consumption of the Huawei tablet will be higher, something that could only be confirmed with tests of real use. What we can already say, in any case, is that it has an important advantage in the autonomy section thanks to the fact that its battery has a much greater capacity than that of the tablet of LG (3000 mAh against 5100 mAh), which is one of its less bright spots to the naked eye.

Of course, if we take into account that right now it can still be obtained for only 250 euros, there is no Android tablet (not counting the import ones) that can be compared in quality / price to the MediaPad M3. However, taking into account its superiority in screen, performance, battery and design, the price difference in favor of the LG GPad IV 8.0 it would have to be quite large under normal conditions for it to stand up to the tablet of Huawei, which is usually found for less than 350 Euros. Unfortunately, we cannot say anything about it yet because the only reference we have is the price announced in Korea for the LTE version, which would translate into about 300 Euros, but that could vary a lot.
