Within the range of devices of a size approximate to the 5 inches we find terminals from almost all the leading Android companies. The G2, is LG's new bet for this area, where massive sales are generated, while the Xperia Z He has proven to be a powerful opponent for as long as he has been with us. We show you a comparison of the two teams with their strengths and weaknesses.
Sony and LG They are two of the firms that can aspire to remove the throne from Samsung within the framework of Android devices. Both are tech giants and have bet on own characteristics and unique compared to the Galaxy S4, one (Sony) ahead of him to conquer users before his arrival and the other (LG) appearing somewhat later and improving the specifications of the rivals.
Designer
The two terminals have interesting points in their design. On the one hand the Xperia Z introduced the resistance to water and dust that many consumers have loved. Its lines are quite rectangular, in line with most of the brand's models. The materials with which it is built are noble, prioritizing the fiberglass.

El LG G2 It shows lines very similar to Samsung's Galaxy devices, which have clearly served as the inspiration for its new flagship. The frames are very small and the edges are curved. Although this Korean company has also experimented with other materials, for its G2 it has chosen the soft touch plastic, of lower quality than the Xperia composition but practical and with good packaging. Its most characteristic element, however, may be the physical buttons on the rear panel.
Screen
In terms of resolution, the two teams are on par, reaching the standard Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), but the screen of the G2 (5,2 inches) is somewhat larger than that of the Xperia Z (5 inches). Thus, the phablet of the Japanese manufacturer offers a higher pixel density (443 dpi by 423 dpi) but less visual space.
Unlimited
In this section, the moment in which each of the two devices was launched counts (and a lot). The Xperia Z was the first of the flagships of the big Android companies to see the light during 2013, so its processor is still a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core at 1,5 GHz, while LG's terminal mounts a Snapdragon 800, a much more advanced model, at 2,3GHz. Both have 2GB of RAM
Although benchmarks are a theoretical data, they can always offer us an image of the potential performance of each device. In this case, as is logical, the superiority of the G2 that has scored in AnTuTu is revealed 27.750 points while the Xperia Z achieved slightly less than 20.000 points.

The LG terminal comes with a factory version Android 4.2 personalized with interesting features of which we have already talked to you. Sony's also offers its own layer, but more focused on the aesthetic component, although with interesting modifications in the multitask and in the application of the camera. For its part, this equipment comes from the factory with Android 4.1 and is already being updated to version 4.2.
Autonomy
Again the LG terminal is on top again with its 3.000 mAh, a figure that it reaches thanks to the construction of its battery in a staggered way. Also has the feature called GRAM, (Graphics RAM) that modulates the speed at which the image needs to be refreshed depending on whether it remains stable or changes.
The Xperia Z has a load of 2.330 mAh, more or less in the average of the devices in its range, although it has managed to put this component in a very fine design, something with considerable merit. In addition, Sony also has interesting features in its line such as the stamina mode which greatly reduces consumption while the terminal remains idle.
Price and conclusions
To be fair, when comparing both devices we must bear in mind that half a year has already passed between the launch of one and the other. The Sony Xperia Z today can be found for a few 480 Euros and it is an elegant device with an exceptional finish. Its materials are noble, its screen offers a spectacular image and the interface contributes to making it a team. premium in every sense. The LG G2 has all the earmarks of going to be one of the reference terminals during the second half of 2013, with an extremely powerful and well worked in most of its sections. Its starting price, moreover, can be very advantageous (around 550 Euros) judging by what was seen yesterday at a UK provider.
