With this feature, they aim to create an even more positive experience for users who download it. Operation
ViewRanger contains a database of hiking and trekking routes in thousands of locations. One of its strengths is that, according to its developers, it has over a million maps from the National Geographic Information Center. However, Spain is not its only area of application, as it is also available in the rest of Europe and in other countries such as Australia and the United States.
Interface
Customization is once again key in these types of tools. In the case of ViewRanger, we can create our own routes using the available maps. It also includes a range of itineraries sourced from travel guides and websites specializing in outdoor sports. GPS is essential, as it allows for more accurate display of parameters such as distance traveled, time taken, and the direction we need to take to reach our destinations.
Free?
This app has no initial cost , which has helped it achieve over 5 million downloads. It has been generally well-received due to its large database of available routes and its ease of use. However, to obtain some additional content, in-app purchases are required, which can reach up to €250 per item, generating some criticism.
