Mediafire: 50GB of free cloud storage

Mediafire has launched an iOS app that, in addition to various features typical of cloud storage services , offers us no less than 50GB of free space.

With the rise of mobile devices, cloud storage services are also growing significantly. Thanks to them, we can carry all the files we want on our small, lightweight tablets and smartphones , without size being the limitation that would be if we only had the storage capacity of their hard drives, which in some tablet models reaches 64GB, but is very commonly limited to 16 or 32GB (or even 8GB in the case of the Nexus 7).

We recently published a comparison of the main cloud storage services so you could judge and choose the one that best suited your needs, but a recent announcement might make you reconsider. Mediafire has now launched an iOS app , which can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and gives you access to 50GB at no extra cost. Considering that iCloud and Google Drive, for example, only offer 5GB for free, the advantage of using Mediafire is significant.

On the downside, those 50GB have a 200MB file size limit , but despite this, the storage space we get will undoubtedly be useful, and although it doesn't have all the features of iCloud, it can be a good complement to it. In any case, it does offer all the basic functionalities we usually find in this type of cloud storage service, such as extensive file and folder management options, easy access for uploading photos and videos from our device, and quick file sharing via email or SMS.
