More resolution and less consumption: tablets with Exynos 5 Octa

Galaxy Tab 3

The positive impressions left by the performance of the Exynos 5 Octa in the brand-new Galaxy S4 seem likely to be reflected in Samsung tablets in the near future: the new processor from the South Koreans would solve the fluidity and excessive power consumption problems that can be seen in tablets with the best resolutions and is expected to be present, at least, in the Galaxy Tab 3.

Although it seems the Galaxy S4 version with the Exynos 5 Octa processor won't be released in many countries ( including Spain ), there's no doubt that Samsung 's new chip has impressed experts. The benefits of this new processor, however, won't be limited to the smartphone world; it appears it could be a key component for creating tablets with spectacular screen resolutions and minimal performance and power consumption issues.

According to GottaBeMobile , the Exynos 5 Octa can handle much more smoothly than the Galaxy S4 's 5-inch Full HD screen , as it could provide optimal support for displays up to 2560 x 1600. These figures will likely sound familiar because, indeed, this is the resolution of the Nexus 10 , and as we've mentioned on several occasions , at least one of the tablets in the new generation of Galaxy Tabs , the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus , is expected to have similar features to the Google and Samsung tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Given that Samsung has already manufactured a tablet with this resolution, it might not seem like the Exynos 5 Octa could play a particularly significant role. However, Samsung 's new chip has two key characteristics for improving the user experience of high-resolution screens: power and low power consumption . This is crucial because if there's one complaint about the fantastic Nexus 10 , it's precisely about the battery. The Galaxy Tab 3 Plus could, therefore, offer the same resolution but with better performance.
