Today we want to offer you a comparative of the two leading tablets on the market: the New iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. It is true that they are not a novelty and that in recent months tablets have come out that challenge the dominance of the two products of these technology giants, but there are many consumers who prefer to choose a safe value than to experiment.
The criterion that groups them is their screen size, a large format, 9,7 and 10.1 inches, which is now being answered by reduced formats of around 7 inches. Both share many capabilities and both Apple and Samsung seemed more to be looking at each other than thinking about the bet that other competitors could make.

Size and weight

Screen

This offers us two models, one with 16 GB and the other with 32 GB, which is difficult to find in Spain, with the option of expanding 32 GB via microSD. Choosing a new 16 GB iPad is not recommended but for every 16 GB in internal memory that we upload they charge us 100 euros.
Connectivity
Both connect to the internet by all possible means, WiFi and 3G. The New iPad works with 4G but in Europe we do not yet enjoy these types of lines.
Cameras
The cameras of the iPad are clearly superior and also the Samsung tablet does not have a flash for photos. The two tablets can record video in Full HD.
Sound
Samsung's attempt to find more resonance with rear speakers did not work as well. New iPad speakers sound louder and richer in bass.
Battery
They have a similar duration perhaps being a little longer than that of the New iPad
Applications
Some time ago, Apple's application environment was much superior to that of Android, but today the offer is quite similar in number and also the Android option is much cheaper due to its open source philosophy. In addition, the integration with Google's software products and applications is much better and free. The own applications that Samsung has developed are not bad, but you can compare them with those of Android and decide for yourself.
Conclusions
The two tablets are still insurance to take a good product home. Maybe the New iPad it's a little More powerful and it has a better screen. However, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is faster in multitasking and incorporates the capabilities of Android in addition to not having the problems of storage and connectivity to other devices than if you have any Apple product and its famous and exclusive ports.
In terms of price, neither of them are cheap, but of course with the New iPad you can leave yourself a fortune if you choose the best. In any case, there are options on the market at lower prices that can make you rethink your interest in the crown jewels.
