The new features of iWork for iPad, in video

ipad 2018

Not only have we already had the opportunity to take a look at the new iPad 2018 in video but we can also leave you a fairly complete demonstration of the new features for iPad of the apps of the office suite of Apple : we show you how to draw and use the new smart annotations in Pages.

News also arrived yesterday at iWork

Although all attention was on the iPad 2018, the truth is that a good part of yesterday's event of Apple , honoring the approach to the educational field that he had, he really dedicated himself to the news that was going to reach some of the most used apps for studying, and especially, to iWork. There are many, however, those who use the office suite on the block to work and all of them will also be able to benefit from the new functions.

Taking into account that the great novelty of the iPad 2018 is that now it will also have support for the Apple Pencil It will come as no surprise to find that the features now introduced in iWork are primarily concerned with new options for drawing and annotating in documents. We have been hearing for a long time that those from Cupertino wanted to make their stylus a more useful accessory for an average user and this, indeed, goes in that direction.

Although the support for the Apple Pencil and the ability to draw and annotate documents in all apps in iWork, perhaps the one that will benefit the most from these new options is Pages, which has an additional feature that Apple has called "smart annotations." It is also interesting, in any case, that Keynote will have another quite curious one to animate our drawings during the presentations.

So you can draw and annotate in Pages, with and without Apple Pencil

El video that we leave you, however, focuses on the new arrivals introduced in Pages, which is probably the ones that the majority will use the most and we must start by highlighting (for those who do not dare to buy it) that many of the new functions, although they are obviously designed for the Apple Pencil, they can be used also without him.

The video is very detailed and although it is in English, even if you do not understand it, you will not have much problem following it, because it is easy to visually grasp the procedure, because it is true that it is all quite simple and intuitive. Most of the video is dedicated to how draw or write about a document in Pages, with all the options we have to choose drawing tools, edit, move, etc.

Towards the end of the video, however, starting at minute 9 approximately, we have a very detailed demonstration also of how those new smart annotations work. This function is still in beta, but as you can see, it can be used without major problems. The difference with it is that they are associated with some text that we already have in the document and move with it, as you can see.
