Google has turned the market for small tablets upside down again with its new 7-inch device. Others who bet on modest benefits and a good price, have been even more out of the game with this bet and will have to react. Amazon had a very similar plan offering quality at a good price, and then making money with the content. However, today they have very difficult competition in benefits. To illustrate the need to renew its line of tablets, we are going to make a comparison between Nexus 7 (2013) and Kindle Fire HD 7.
Design, size and weight
Both show modest but correct plastic workmanship, although the shock resistance of the one manufactured by Asus raises some doubts. Here you have a test and then other that are a bit contradictory. In terms of finesse and lightness, however, it clearly outperforms its rival, being much lighter.
Screen
Amazon's equaled the standard set by the Nexus 7 of 2012. Those from Mountain View have raised the bar and bring a team with a huge screen resolution for 7 inches with their X which result in a definition of 323 ppi.

Here there is no doubt. The chips in both devices are not the newest, but the one in the OMAP 4460 is even older and clearly less powerful. Connectivity

Prices and conclusions
We are facing two cheap tablets. Amazon has lowered the price of yours by 25% in the United States, although this reduction has not reached Spain. Even so, Kindle Fire HD 7 is cheaper, 30 euros cheaper in the 16 GB model and 40 euros in the 32 GB, exactly. As we have a model with connectivity through mobile networks, we cannot make a comparison.
Differences in economics are inversely proportional to in specifications. The power of the Nexus 7 (2013) is brutal. Today is a high-end tablet at a bargain price. We cannot say the same for his rival.
The idea of a neat and closed environment of the modified OS of the Kindle Fire may be attractive, but Android is increasingly geared towards the user experience and access to content has become much easier.
In short, the successors of Amazon tablets are necessary to compete and it seems that they will come stomping, according to latest rumors.
