As we already know Surface RT It runs the Windows RT operating system and it only works with Windows applications and not with the old Windows linked software. That is why I needed a solution to be able to offer Office 2013. The solution was the Office RT application that it was thought that it would not be in time for the official launch of the tablets with this operating system on October 26 and that buyers would have to wait until the beginning of November. Well, it seems that the Redmond people have put the batteries and that will come from the beginning.

Until now, the application had a watermark that said Preview on the initial screen and also a golden rectangle at the top of the screen that said that the application was a preview, that is, that it was in the sample phase. Well, these titles have disappeared and an operational version has already been made. The update process has already started and is about 580 MB. This means that American consumers who will receive their Surface RT on October 26 will already have this app pre-installed and updated. Obviously also all those consumers who buy tablets with Windows RT.
Office RT includes programs with Word, Excell, PowerPoint y One note. The differences between this app and Microsoft Office 2013 are almost negligible. This seems like a good thing, but from what we could see at IFA, the adaptation to touch handling of this application still had to improve and hopefully it has done so in this direction as well.
As we already told you Surface RT pre-sale has already started as well as that of other tablets with this operating system. The result seems to be quite positive to date, reaching sell out the cheapest offer of Microsoft tablet, and this news could even give her more incentive before October 26. For Surface Pro we will have, and a full version of Microsoft Office 2013, we will have to wait a little longer, until November or December even.
