Performance comparison of the different Samsung Galaxy S4

Galaxy S4 LTE-A

In the past week Samsung announced a new variant of the Galaxy S4; This latest model integrates Qualcomm's most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 800, and support for connectivity LTE Advanced. The equipment is undoubtedly intended for users looking for maximum speed and we already have some proof of its potential. We show you the first benchmarks of the Galaxy S4 LTE-A compared to those of the previous versions of the device (Snapdragon 600 and Exynos 5 Octa).

The first devices with Snapdragon 800, the jewel in Qualcomm's crown in its new generation of processors. At the moment, there are two terminals that have already assembled it, the Xperia Z Ultra and the Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced, although new devices with this processor are beginning to emerge, such as the Sony Honami or LG Optimus G2.

In the case of the Galaxy S4, we can already compare the performance of its three variants in the two benchmark benchmarks, AnTuTu y Quadrant. If we already knew that the model with 5 Exynos Octa offers more power than Snapdragon 600, now Qualcomm's most powerful chip outperforms both in both types of tests. Here are the results:

Galaxy S4 LTE

As we can see in the graphs, the performance differences have a narrower margin in AnTuTu (about 3.000 points average between the Galaxy S4 LTE-A and the Octa), while in Quadrant the Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced It shows a fairly large superiority over the two previous models, scoring more than 6.000 points from each of them.

However, we must bear in mind that these data are not entirely reliable and present some dissonances with the results that we showed you last week, in which the Sony Xperia Z Ultra it appeared in first place with 3.4758 points. The Galaxy S4 LTE-A reached 3.1491 in AnTuTu, a figure well above what these latest tests we have had access to suggest.
