This morning we woke up to news that could shake the tablet industry to its core. Samsung , perhaps the most important manufacturer of Android devices, and Google are reportedly preparing a new Nexus 10 tablet to definitively challenge the iPad, according to analyst Richard Shim . This informant has provided some details about the new device, and they are truly spectacular.
Despite the many different models appearing on the market, the iPad , although it has lost some of its dominance, remains the undisputed leader in the tablet market. Perhaps two companies are currently in a position to challenge this privilege. The first is obviously Samsung , one of the most reputable technology manufacturers, capable of competing with Apple's tablet in terms of hardware , since many iPad components even come from its factories. The second is Google , which, with the Nexus 7, has significantly impacted the market, making its device a definitive launchpad for the Android operating system.
The collaboration between these companies to produce a 10-inch Nexus tablet could finally result in a device capable of not only challenging the iPad but also surpassing it. Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, has received reports indicating that this alliance is a reality and has decided to share them with CNET . He even goes so far as to provide a very specific detail about the new device's specifications: its screen resolution will be even higher than the Retina Display, with 2560 x 1600 pixels, or 299 PPI , compared to 265 PPI.
The tablet, in line with Samsung's designs, would have exactly one screen of 10.1 inches And we hope that a processor and other pieces of hardware really dizzy, because it is about winning the game to a device that has dominated and set the pace in the market for heavy-handed tablets since its launch in 2010. System-wise operational, of course, it will always work with the latest android version and if its appearance is as close as some media claim, it could be released even with the version 4.2 Key Lime Pie.
