Sony seeks to diversify its offer of mobile devices and for this purpose it plans to launch two phablets during the next 2013. These devices are known today as Odin y Yuga, both work with Android and will come to occupy an intermediate place between the supply of tablets and smartphones of the Japanese multinational, which confirmed last week that it was, by volume of copies sold, the second mark of mobile phones most popular in Spain.

The sector phablets seems to be on the rise lately. If until recently we only had the models of Samsung (Galaxy Note) and LG (Optimus Vu), starting next year we can find the arrival of two other important brands on the market for this type of device: HTC y Sony. While the HTC project (although it was very popular a few weeks ago) seems to have lost some steam, Sony would already have two devices in full preparation, one with a screen of 5 inches (Odin) and the other from 6 inches (yuga)
Although both names, Odin and Yuga, are used at the moment only in the internal circles of the company, some data regarding their specs. According to Intomobile, the first of them, Odin, in clear reference to the Supreme God of Norse mythology, will mount a powerful processor of 4 nuclei at 1,5 GHz and with 2 GB of RAM memory and will reach a density of 443 pixels per inch. The second, Yuga, will have the same characteristics but the screen will be somewhat larger, 6 '', almost reaching the size of tablets like Nexus 7. At the moment, there is no official confirmation by Sony, but there are some leaks regarding its performance running with the operating system 4.1 Android Jelly Bean.
The Japanese company continues current after having shown its best and worst side last week, on the one hand, confirming to be the second most important mobile phone manufacturer in our country and, secondly, for having had to remove your Sony Xperia S tablet the Japanese market after detecting any factory problem. Hopefully the positive line will predominate with the official confirmation of these two models, whose production could already be underway.
