We'll still have to wait to see the successor to the HTC One , but as expected, the Taiwanese company has at least debuted its new phablet today, the HTC Desire 816 , slightly smaller than the HTC One Max ( 5.5 inches ) and with mid-range technical specifications . We'll give you all the details.
Design and dimensions
While we might have expected the HTC Desire 816 's design to deviate more from the HTC One's , it actually shares the same basic features and, overall, is quite similar. The main differences, as previously leaked, lie in the materials (this time the Taiwanese company has opted for a plastic casing) and the colors , which will be quite varied, as you can see in the image. Regarding dimensions, it will be 7,99 mm thick and weigh 165 grams.

Technical Specifications
There haven't been any major surprises in terms of technical specifications either : the screen is 5.5 inches with HD resolution , the processor is a quad-core Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1,6 GHz , it has 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage (expandable via microSD up to a whopping 128 GB), and a 2600 mAh battery . The most noteworthy aspect is the cameras, thanks to its 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera.
Price and Availability
We still do not have concrete data for our country, but it has been announced that it will begin to be distributed in Asia from March (it seems that March 18 would be the chosen date) and, although we assume that Europe will take a little longer to reach the stores, at least we can then get an idea at least about the price for which we can get it. As always, we will keep you informed when there is news.
