Classic video games and plenty of survival: here's our top 5 list of the best free Android games of the week, which, of course, is led by Animal Crossing Pocket Camp , but with Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Classic close behind and a few other options.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
Just like on the App Store, Nintendo's new game has become a download sensation in just a few days, with truly impressive figures considering it's been available for less than a week. Furthermore, you don't need to have played the original title to enjoy Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your mobile device if you're a fan of simulation games , as it perfectly adapts the genre.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Classic
Another title worth mentioning for fans of classic video games, although this one features a much more iconic character and is a much more faithful adaptation of the original (despite which it lags far behind in downloads): Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Classic is now free to play, with only an in-app purchase to remove ads. It's an opportunity not to be missed if you haven't tried it yet and enjoy platformers.
Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage
Another title that, based solely on its protagonist, was destined to attract a legion of fans and become a download hit: BANDAI NAMCO has released another major title this week, a fighting game where you can battle as Naruto . It's worth noting, however, that it's receiving some criticism, both for being poorly optimized and for heavily incentivizing in-app purchases. It's also important to keep in mind that it's only available in English.
Jurassic Survival Island: ARK 2
Survival games seem to be booming lately, and with dinosaurs as its main draw, Jurassic Survival Island: ARK 2 is already attracting quite a few fans. As with any game in this genre, of course, we won't just have to survive these prehistoric creatures in direct confrontations with the most aggressive ones, but we'll also have to craft tools and make sure we get enough food.
Survivor Royale
Another game that has debuted successfully on Google Play, this one combines survival with much stronger doses of action. Although classified as a strategy game, Survivor Royale is one of those multiplayer shooters so popular right now, where the game starts with dozens of users abandoned to their fate on a map with nothing, and challenges us to be the last ones left alive.
