Interestingly, the most popular new release this week, by a considerable margin, hasn't been from one of the most popular studios, but rather Hustle Castle , a game that combines simulation and role-playing. In any case, our top 5 list of the best new free Android games includes, as always, several other interesting options to suit all tastes.
Hustle castle
Even though its similarities to Fallout Shelter in many aspects haven't gone unnoticed, Hustle Castle has received an overwhelmingly positive reception. There's no denying that its blend of simulation and role-playing, with a medieval setting and a healthy dose of humor, works incredibly well. It also features a campaign mode as well as a multiplayer mode in the style of classic online strategy games, if further explanation of its success were needed.
PES Cards Collection
The name alone gives us a pretty clear idea of what the new PES game offers : collecting cards of our favorite players to improve our team, develop them, and, of course, test them in matches against other users. An interesting extra is a multiplayer mode where we can choose one of our players to team up with 10 other users.
Drag'n'boom
Drag'n'Boom is an arcade game that was a hit on the App Store and is now doing the same on Google Play, thanks to its simple yet polished graphics and gameplay, resulting in a truly fun experience. It plays similarly to a platformer, with jumping and flying, but with much more action, since the protagonist is a dragon capable of destroying everything in its path.
Zombie Combat Simulator
Zombie Combat Simulator initially presents itself as a new zombie shooter (third-person, not first-person), but it deviates somewhat from the norm in this popular subgenre, with a more realistic and less macabre tone, and featuring soldiers as the protagonists. It also includes a multiplayer mode, not only online but also locally via Wi-Fi to play with friends.
Hex Commander
We conclude with a strategy game that, despite its medieval fantasy setting , deviates somewhat from the Clash of Clans-style formula that dominates this genre, allowing us to test our battle-leading skills in a campaign mode as well. The turn-based combat system is also a welcome feature, allowing us to take our time planning our next move.
More free games for Android
While there weren't many big names, it's been a pretty interesting week on Google Play, but we can always expect next week to be even better. Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated on the latest exciting Android games.
