In this article we will explain how Google Wallet works, a Google service that allows you to buy with our mobile phones or tablets thanks to the NFC port that some Android devices carry. With Google Wallet we can also shop more securely online and on Google Play. We explain how to request this service and how to configure it.

Google Wallet allows you to make purchases with your mobile phone or with tablets with NFC, among which Nexus 7 stands out. If you have a Google account, you link one there credit card Mastercard, View, American Express o Discover and they will save your data for future and automated purchases. Google has greatly improved the card options to link, since at first they could only be Google prepaid cards and Master Card Paypass. In this video explains a little more how it works.
In Spain at the moment it only works to buy online, in very few cases, and to buy on Google Play. But we hope it will arrive soon.
In the US, there are several mobile devices that can use Google Wallet linked to carriers Sprint, Virgin, and AT&T. Everybody has NFC port And they are smartphones with the exception of Nexus 7. If it were enabled in Spain it would work like this:
First, you would have to create your account in Google Wallet by going to your website. You would then have to link your device to your account or purchase an enabled device. Third, you would have to download the enforcement. And finally, you would have to configure it to give it more security by entering a four digit payment unlock pin.
Once all these previous steps have been done, it would consist of going to stores with sensors or NFC ports, open the Google Wallet application, enter the four-digit pin and bring the phone or tablet closer to the reader once they indicate the price.
This video explains its configuration and use in a more graphic way.
At first it was criticized that Google gave little security, but enabled the possibility of a remote control that, in the event that your smartphone or tablet was lost or stolen, you could deactivate the application on your devices from any PC or laptop from the web from Google Wallet.
In the United States, stores and operators are more prepared for use. After the proper authorization, we hope to be able to use this great advantage soon here too.
