Xiaomi Redmi Note is presented in China with an unparalleled value for money

Xiaomi Redmi Notes

A phablet promising exceptional value for money has finally been unveiled. The Xiaomi Redmi Note has been launched in China with impressive specifications and a groundbreaking price. Chinese consumers will be able to get their hands on it starting March 26th .

According to what we are told on the Internet, on that date an online reservation period will open that could end with the terminal exhausted in a few minutes. It would not be the first time that this has happened with a terminal of the company. The previous model, Redmi, sold the first 5.000 units in just 8 minutes on the company's website for Singapore. Or when the Mi3 sold 150.000 units in just 10 minutes.

Xiaomi Redmi Note Specifications

It more or less matches expectations from previous leaks . It's a larger model than the first in its line. It has a 5,5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and an IPS panel . Inside, it features a MediaTek MT6592 chip with an octa-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1,4 GHz and a Mali 450 GPU, along with 1 GB of RAM to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It's worth noting that Xiaomi uses its own fork of Android known as MIUI v5 , one of its most popular custom interfaces.

It has 8GB of internal RAM , expandable with a microSD card . It features two cameras: a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture , LED flash , and 1080p FHD video recording.

It's a dual-SIM device that offers 3G connectivity , perhaps its weakest point. It also features Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Wi-Fi b/g/n.

Finally, it is worth highlighting a 3.200 mAh battery that will give us enough autonomy. Its plastic casing will allow us to choose it in a good number of colors.

The model we've described is the basic one, but there will be two versions . The Premium option will come with a 1,7 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM , which will naturally be more expensive.

Price and availability of the Xiaomi Redmi Note

As we mentioned, it will go on sale in China next week for 799 yuan, which is about €93 . This is the base version. The advanced version with 2GB of RAM and the most powerful processor will cost 999 yuan, about €117. Pre-orders are already available on the Qzone website, but this is exclusively for China.

The prices are crazy, but clearly they will not be what the terminal has if it decides to make a landing in Europe that the company has not yet talked about.
