This time we don't have to wait for the weekend to bring you good news about new game releases because, as planned, Monument Valley 2 , the sequel to one of the best puzzle games and one of the most popular indie games to date, has finally landed on Google Play today.
Monument Valley 2 finally hits Google Play
If you're a fan of puzzle games or if you're usually more interested in indie games than the work of big studios, you've surely already had the chance to enjoy Monument Valley , one of the most popular and universally remembered games we can find in the field of mobile devices, capable of attracting all kinds of audiences.
And if you have, you've surely been waiting a long time for the chance to unlock new levels. iOS users were lucky enough to have a slightly shorter wait, but we can finally give Android users the good news that their wait is also over: Monument Valley 2 , as announced, is now available for download from Google Play.
New protagonists, the same charm
In Monument Valley 2, we switch protagonists, and instead of the silent princess, we take control of Ro and her mother, who guides her in uncovering the mysteries of this peculiar valley. What remains unchanged, thankfully, is the exquisite pixel art style and the puzzles based on impossible architectural structures and optical illusions.
The launch is so recent on Google Play that we can't give you any preview of how it's being received, but we do have impressions from users who tried it when it was launched on iOS and, in general, the ratings were very good, although it's true that, as happens to many sequels of big games, it suffered a bit from comparisons and the high expectations that are sometimes placed on them.
A premium game worth what it costs
Maybe the fact that it is a paid game pulls many back a bit and yes, this is your case, you always have to wait to find it on sale, but it is true that it is one of those titles that few know. they regret having bought. We, personally, in fact thank many times, and especially in cases like this, that the developers opt for this formula and free us from in-app purchases that end up adulterating the game mechanics or ads that break the immersion.
We'd also like to mention that the first Monument Valley is currently available for download for just over €3 , so if you haven't tried it yet, this might be a good opportunity. And if you like it, you might be more inclined to pay the €5 for the sequel. If you're still undecided, however, stay tuned and we'll keep you updated on the most interesting new Android game releases coming out in the next few days.
