ZTE could be working on a 6-inch Windows Phone phablet

ZTE logo

Official leaks are catching on. From China comes a bombshell for the novelty of the format. ZTE could be developing a phablet almost 6 inches with Windows Phone operating system. The format leaves us quite out of square, given that it is only an inch from a tablet the size of Nexus 7 for example and is at the same time an inch larger than Galaxy Note 2, Optimus Vu and others like it.

ZTE phone 5.9

The director of marketing of ZTE, Lu Qian Hao, today sent to the Chinese website Weibo some photos through Twitter of this device in addition to releasing a few specifications.

The screen of this phablet will have 5,9 inches Full HD with a resolution of X. It will also carry DTS technology high definition audio. The strange thing about this leak is that when Lu Qian Hao says that the screen will be Full HD and we see the logo of Windows Phone 7 A contradiction inevitably arises, since neither that mobile operating system nor its successor, Windows Phone 8, still support Full HD. Unless ZTE has information that the rest of us do not have, this could be a teaser of something to happen in a long time.

Honestly, Microsoft should cover this gap as soon as possible knowing what its competitors are putting on the table.

If everything that this leak says is verified, we would have a new competitor in this phablet format and in a size that has only been suggested other chinese manufacturer. It was precisely Huawei who showed a 6,1 inch phablet with spectacular equipment but with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The screen resolution will be the same as the supposed ZTE device. Its processor will be of its own manufacture, Hisilicon K3V3, with four cores at 1,8 GHZ and will carry 2 GB of RAM. It will have a 4.100 mAh battery and a thickness of 9,9 mm. Its price will be between 480 and 560 dollars.

As we can see, the format of mobile devices is boiling. Portability doesn't seem restricted to just one size.
