ZTE Geek shows that Intel is strong in mobile benchmarks

A few weeks ago she was a bit shy ZTE Geek, a new Android phablet with chip Intel Atom Clover Trail +. Its specifications were most promising to us. There was a lot of expectation regarding the performance. We had seen other devices with the same processor do some tests with more than encouraging results. Now comes the first benchmarking of the Chinese device and it can't be beat.

The note taken In AnTuTu it even leaves behind the Samsung Galaxy S4 with its Snapdragon 600 that has a 1,9 GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 320 GPU. As we said, the ZTE Geek chip is a Intel Atom Clover Trail + Z2580 which has a 2 GHz dual-core CPU and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. To this is added 1 GB of RAM to move 4.1 Android Jelly Bean. On 5-inch screen is Full HD.

Bearing these variables in mind, let's clarify your results in the AnTuTu benchmark. As we can see in the image from Android HD Blog, the score obtained is 29.401 points being above the 26.795 of the S4, the 23.986 of the HTC One and the 24.519 of the PadFone Infinity.

A clue that they could be this high came from the other device that also has this processor, the Lenovo K900, which obtained a score of 25.481 points in this same test. That score was more in the average of the most cutting-edge terminals on the market, however, the ZTE Geek clearly beats its rivals.

The rest of its specifications are really interesting with modest but expandable storage with SD, good cameras, full connectivity and reasonable battery. You can see them in detail in this article that we dedicate.

With these results it is proven that Intel is going strong with mobiles. This generation of chips is already more than desirable and they are already working on the next one, Intel Bay Trail, which is intended to work on Windows tablets and mobiles.
